- ArticleKopf AW, Grupper C, Baer RL, Mitchell JC.Arch Dermatol. 1977 Aug;113(8):1080-4.In two patients, hundreds of nevocytic nevi (melanocytic nevi) appeared in sites of severe bullous dermatoses that were considered to be toxic epidermal necrolysis and erythema multiforme exudativum, respectively. This phenomenon may result from benign melanocytic hyperplasia accompanying keratinocytic hyperplasia during the healing process of some of the denuded areas of the skin.
